Who is this course suitable for:

This Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (RQF) has been specifically designed to meet the criteria set by the Department for Education’s EYFS Framework and is ideal for:
Those who have gained a level 2 and/or level 3 childcare qualification and have entered into an early years setting and wish to be included in the staff to child ratios to comply with EYFS requirements.

Registered childminders and assistants who are required to hold a current and full paediatric first aid certificate in order to comply with the EYFS requirements.
Anyone who has a non-professional involvement with infants and children, such as parents, grandparents and want to learn key paediatric first aid skills.
Successful candidates will learn the roles and responsibilities of the paediatric first aider, and will be equipped with the necessary skills to administer safe and effective treatment when dealing with a range of paediatric first aid situations.

Duration:

2 Days (2 x 6 hours)

Normally 9:30am – 4:30pm – We are flexible with starting times to meet the needs of your business.

The paediatric first aid training 2 day course can be delivered over 2 consecutive days (preferred) or over 2 separate days within a 6 week period to suit the needs of your business.

Course aims of the 2 day paediatric first aid training:

The two day paediatric first aid training course will focus on emergency scenarios that are faced by many professionals who look after young children in their daily duties. At the end of the course all delegates will be confident to deal with most situations that may arise when caring for children and babies. All our courses are taught by specialist training Consultants with a solid background in paediatric accident and emergency, who are also qualified to teach adult learners.

Where an organisation’s risk assessment identifies that there is a requirement for Emergency First Aid at Work practitioners, then this Award satisfies the requirements of the regulatory body – the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).

All learners will have the skills and knowledge to provide the organisation with Emergency First Aider’s that can provide treatment to their casualties in a prompt, safe and effective manner.
